Collective Marriage Program For 3000 Girls

Exciting news! Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced Collective Marriage Program an essential program for girls from low-income families in Pakistan. CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has initiated a Collective Marriage Program to assist 3,000 girls from disadvantaged families throughout Punjab. Under this initiative, each bride will receive Rs 1 lakh as a wedding gift through an ATM card.

This amount will help cover her essential needs and wedding-related expenses. Additionally, 13 items such as furniture, clothing, and dinnerware will be provided, which are often necessities for girls getting married. Many girls’ families cannot afford these items, which often delays their marriages.

A survey in Punjab indicates a high number of girls are awaiting marriage, but due to financial constraints and lack of suitable matches, they cannot proceed. This government program aims to support underprivileged girls in marriage, promoting matrimony in Pakistan, and discouraging negative social behaviors, leading to a healthier, more prosperous society.

Now, the daughters of the less fortunate can marry as Rs 1 lakh will cover expenses, and wedding essentials will be provided free of charge.

The program was announced today, but registration details are yet to be disclosed. The government will soon launch a registration portal. Should registrations exceed 3,000, a ballot will determine the girls included in this program.
