What Is Khelta Punjab Games Program

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports has launched the Khelta Punjab Games 2024. This initiative aims to encourage sports participation in Punjab, promoting a healthy lifestyle and developing a passion for sports among the youth.

Competitions will be held at the Tehsil, District, Division, and Provincial levels to discover new talent and promote sports culture. A total of 12 international sports will be featured across various venues in Punjab. These include Kabaddi, Football, Basketball, Cricket, Athletics, Archery, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton, Table Tennis, and more.

The government has set aside cash prizes exceeding 10 crore rupees for the winning participants and teams. Around 15,000 athletes and clubs from across Punjab are expected to take part. An online registration portal has been established to make the sign-up process convenient.
